My name is Antonio Meazzini, I'm originally from Italy and I am currently living in the city of San Francisco (California). I graduated here from the Academy of Art University, where I got my BFA degree in Visual Effects. At the moment I'm working in Dreamworks Animation as a digital fx artist. In august 2007 I was hired at The Orphanage as a visual effects artist (in the matchmoving department) to work on the movie Iron Man (watch the trailier here), which will be released on May 2nd 2008. Working on such big hollywood productions is a great honor, and I consider myself lucky since I'm one of the few who realized his dreams.
In january 2008 I started to work for Dreamworks Animation, where I am currently working full time on Kung Fu Panda, coming out on june 6th in usa. Dreamworks is the most amazing company I have ever seen in my life and it is a lot of fun to work there.
At the Academy, I majored in visual effects with an emphasis on compositing, matte painting, rotoscoping and matchmoving. However, I have also worked as a freelance web designer and thus have a background in multimedia design and motion graphic as well. The Academy of Art has provided me with invaluable skills in both traditional and digital art, giving me the opportunity to meet many talented artists as well as famous professionals working in the industry.
Under the "works" section of this web site, you will be able to access most of my projects--from web design to traditional art projects, and my visual effects shots.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my web page.
